“A caretaker at Senkekwe orphanage in Virunga prepares to go to sleep with a new orphan mountain gorilla, Ihirwe. The orphaned gorillas attach themselves to caretakers like a child to a parent. It is suspected that this orphan was taken by soldiers who probably killed the mother to get the baby.
